ON HOW TO CHOOSE A LEADER

It was my first time to vote last May. I did so much research about the candidates for me to know who deserved my vote. A single vote is very important so I really thought of my decision. He or she must come from a distinguished family. He or she must have a college degree. He or she must have astonishing achievements in school. He or she must have political experience. He or she must not have a criminal record.

A few weeks before the election, I am not sure anymore if that research was enough to think that a person is indeed capable of leading our country. Until now, I am not sure on how to choose whoever is capable of leading our country.

While I was watching the news last week, a survey showed that most Filipinos expected that they would be happier this Christmas compared to last year. Could that be because Filipinos were more satisfied with the current president compared to the previous president. A survey also said that 7 out of 10 Filipinos were satisfied with President Noynoy.

I just hope that he would keep his promises during his campaign period specifically when he said that he would not tolerate corruption. All I can do right now is observe and support whatever program I believe would help our country.
