Raison d'etat

As a student elder of a council, I know what raison d'etat feels like. Well, it's not exactly that, but almost like it. We are not supposed to divulge anything we discussed to the community, except for fellow members of the council. What is discussed in the board room is left in the board room.

It's really amazing how the government manages to keep its mouth shut without getting crazy. It gets harder to manage when we discuss stressful issues, and make big decisions. Fortunately in my case, the stress is not that great to implode inside my head.

The bottomline? Choose your leaders wisely. They will be making most of the decisions that will affect the community, and you will love and hate them. They will tell you the who, what, when and where, but they will never tell you why. If you chose well, you will respect your leaders.
